Santana do Livramento (originally St. Anne of Deliverance) is a municipality of Brazil 's state of Rio Grande do Sul , Brazil.
The town began with the donation of land grants made by the Marquis of Alegrete . Founded on July 30th of 1823 , was elevated to a municipality in 1857 , to be freed from Alegrete .
